Apartment Availability
You can check the apartment availability for each of the apartments online.

The calendars are usually up-to-date, however, if an apartment shows availability, we do not guarantee a booking. All reservations are on request only.
Send us your reservation request
We will respond with availability and a price quote. If you then would like to make the reservation, we will make a temporary reservation for you and send you a deposit for 50% of the rental at the same time. Payment of that deposit within 24 hours then automatically confirms your reservation.
Deposit / balance
A deposit is required at the time of booking of 50% for the reservation to be confirmed. The balance is to be settled upon arrival in cash. Of course you can also settle by online payment through Paypal prior to arrival.
Payments

The deposit can be paid through www.paypal.com (an eBay Company). We will send you an electronic invoice, which allow you to make the payment using your credit card. You can make PayPal payments with or without having a PayPal account. If you prefer to pay by bank, we will provide you with the account number and the international bank codes that you will require.
APARTMENT Rates
The basic minimum stay requirement is three nights. We offer a week special for stays of 7 days or more. We have a low season week special for October - March and and a high season week special for April - September.
During the holidays and events listed below there is a minimum stay requirement of 7 nights. The special week rate is not applicable during holidays and events, which means that in those periods the normal daily rate applies:
- IBC conference: September 11 - 18, 2008
- Christmas and New Year: December 22nd 2008 - January 2nd 2009
- Easter: April 9-16 2009
- Queens Birthday: April 27- May 4th, 2009
- Ascension Day: May 18 - 25, 2008
- Whitsuntide: May 28 - June 4, 2009
- Gay Pride Weekend: July 30 - August 6, 2009
Rates are inclusive of all applicable taxes. Rates and conditions may change without notice.
Cancellations
We are very small: we have only three apartments. Consequently, loosing business through no-shows has a big impact on the business as a whole. Still we would like you to be able to cancel, should your plans change unexpectedly.
The deposit required for a confirmed reservation is 50% of the rental fee. The cancellation charges are:
- 50% of that deposit will be refunded if cancellation is made 14 days or more before arrival date
- 20% of the deposit will be refunded if cancellation is made 7-14 days before arrival date
- No refund if cancellation is made within 6 days of arrival.
- No refunds in case of shortening your stay after arrival.
You may wish to take out a travel/cancellation insurance to cover for the cancellation charge in case you have to cancel involuntarily.
Please make sure that you receive our confirmation that indeed your reservation is cancelled. Even though e-mail is quite reliable, we would like to ensure that communication is clear and unambiguous.

Check in time is 2 p.m., check out 11 a.m.
Internet connection free of charge
All apartments have a broadband ADSL internet access point: plug in your laptop for unlimited internet access. Connections in Holland are quite reliable, however, we cannot guarantee up-times.
Cable tv channels include CNN, BBC, ZDF, ARD, VRT, Ketnet/Canvas, TV5, Rai Uno, National Geographic, Discovery, MTV, The Box and TMF (subject to cable company policies). There is also a CD/DVD player available with a limited number of movies for your entertainment.
About Amsterdam Canal Apartments
We are two old time friends, Sebastian Oele and Hugo Lingeman, each of us renting out apartments in our respective canal houses, which are actually just steps away from each other. We both have a job and the apartment rentals is a way for us to be able to afford to live in such nice houses in the historic centre of Amsterdam. We do our web site and some advertising together to keep costs low, but from there on we each do our own reservations etc. So, please choose the apartment which you prefer and send an email to either Bas or Hugo. Should that apartment be booked for the period that you request, you will be referred to the other place.
